Principal's Welcome
Hello! My name is Genia Antoine and I have the pleasure of serving as principal at Pflugerville Elementary (PES). I have been in the education field for 34 years now, with the last 16 years being with Pflugerville ISD. During my career as an educator, I have served as a 1st grade teacher, 2nd grade teacher, 2nd/3rdmulti-age teacher, 4th grade teacher, Curriculum Specialist, Administrative Assistant to an Assistant Superintendent and Assistant Principal. I have been blessed to have worked at Pflugerville Elementary since 2007. I couldn’t imagine a better place to work. Pflugerville Elementary has the best students, faculty, staff and parents.
At Pflugerville Elementary we truly live by our mission statement of children first.
Our state assessment scores continue to exceed the state and district average. But our strong academics only tell part of the story. Our faculty is trained in our customer service philosophy (Capturing Kids Hearts). This philosophy is noticeable from the second you walk into PES. Our teachers are top-notch and are sought out from within the district and beyond to share their expertise.
It is my sincere hope that you find PES an inviting, nurturing campus with a strong academic focus.
Thank you to our army of volunteers and our energetic PTO for supporting our students and school in all areas. They help plan, man, and organize every large event; support the school financially and with volunteer hours. A special shout out of appreciation to all of our Workroom Warriors!
Our teachers and staff work many nights and weekends to make each year a success. This phenomenal group of educators are some of the best in the state of Texas. They have shown unparalleled commitment to our school through exemplary leadership and dedication. They go above and beyond every year from sponsoring after school activities, staying extra hours to meet with parents and tutor students, applying for grants, ordering and organizing an entire school full of instructional materials, to working on district-level curriculum committees. They do whatever is needed to make this happen! I applaud and honor them all!
I must share with you that as I have visited classes your children are exceptionally polite, well-behaved, and respectful. They are also great thinkers and problem-solvers. All through the day today, they were attentively listening to their teachers explain new procedures and routines. And I think they had some fun too! This week will consist of many team-building and purposeful activities that will promote scholarly behavior and good citizenship for the remainder of the year.
I am looking forward to the rest of the 2023-2024 school year!
With Pfire Ant Pride!
Genia Antoine
